How to Activate Welcome Cooling on your Samsung Air Conditioner
After connecting your Samsung Air Conditioner to the SmartThings App*, you can access a variety of Smart Features through your smartphone. Welcome Cooling uses your allowed tracked location and a personalised pre-set distance to turn on the Air Conditioner while you are on your way home. It automatically sets the room temperature using your preferred mode and settings to welcome you home, comfortably.
* SmartThings available on Android and iOS devices. A Wi-Fi connection and a Samsung account are required.
Set Up WindFree™ Welcome Cooling with SmartThings
1. Open the SmartThings app and under devices tap your chosen room air conditioner.
2.Scroll down and switch on ‘Welcome Cooling’.
3. Press ’Set’ on the prompt to use your home location.
4. Tap ‘OK’ to allow permission to SmartThings to have access to your phone’s location.
5. Go to ‘Permissions’ in the SmartThings app settings.
6. Select 'Location'.
7. Allow location permission and toggle ‘Use precise location’.
8. Tap 'Allow'.
9. Select and set the range from 150m to 30km.
10. Welcome Cooling is now activated. You can continue to adjust settings from the smart things app.
